Philippians 2:5 says “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
He thought it not robbery to be counted as God! So what’s our problem? Let this mind be in youis one word in Greek and means – “to exercise the mind, to be mentally disposed in a certain direction, set the affection on” and the word equalmeans “similar in amount or kind, as much, equal and like”!
It’s very clear to me in this passage, along with Psalms 82:6, which says, “I have said, Ye are gods and all of you are children of the most high.” Also in Revelation 17:14 and 19:16 we are called Kings and Lords, that we esteem ourselves far less than He does!
I have said before that I am Jesus on the earth and have had people get disgusted with me and say I’m being blasphemous, but according to scripture, I’m just saying what Jesus said and the Word says. The truth of the matter is that if you never take your place as a King, you will never rule like a King. In the passage in Psalms, “gods” means rulers or judges with divine connections! I believe if this was how we thought of ourselves we would certainly act different! If Jesus name is above all names and we are His brothers and sisters and have the same Father then it stands to reason, we are like them in every way.
So if you take the first scripture in Philippians and the following ones I mentioned, you can deduct that we should be like Jesus who was a Servant King! Someone with unlimited power and wealth who lived to serve humanity and show them the nature of His Father. The word also says that He sits at the right hand of majesty and that we’re seated with Him in Heavenly places. This shows me we should have heavenly perspective over the world around us and not be subject to the influence of the temporary state the world lives in. We are also told to have the mind of Christ, if we’re called to have the mind then surely we’re granted the same position of Royalty.
Before I close this article out, remember this, It’s only by the Blood of Jesus that we have any of this. It’s nothing that we have done or deserve, but what He did and made us worthy to receive! I am well aware that the only standing I have is within the Christ Mind. But if such a high price was paid for me to receive then I’m going to take full advantage of every privilege I can find.
So, I say boldly “I am made in the image of the Supreme Being of the Universe, the Diving Energy that always was and always is, the Magnificent Power that can only create and cannot be destroyed, THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!” So why do we get so worked up in counting ourselves to be just like God?
Simply put, it’s because we have not renewed our mind to the Word and accepted our status as the Beloved of God. When we refuse to recognize our rightful place, then we excuse ourselves from being the changing force dying humanity around us so desperately longs for.
So say it with me “I am God, I am Jesus on earth!” When we truly take our rightful place then we will see a shift in the world around us because of the presence within us!
