Self Loathing and Self Pity!

Really there's no difference! Neither one are productive or lead you to a place of victory! I mean, let's be honest, we've all been there, but we've never found anything good there either!

I heard Keith Moore say "never, never, never feel sorry for your self!" And it's good advice! What did it ever produce for you? NOTHING!!!! It only made you feel worse about yourself and there in lies the problem! All you are thinking about is yourself! And the question begs, what good are you if you are only thinking about yourself? It's about the same as the famous quote "War, What's it good for... absolutely nothing!" Well... lets don't get carried away, I believe in war that brings peace!

But I diverge from the topic, the point is as long as you are only thinking about your issues and your problems that you are no good to anyone else and believe me there are plenty of people out there that need you and your wisdom! You may say, I have none, but you are terribly wrong, there is someone who needs your testimony!

We all have a bit of truth to offer someone in need! Now it's true, none of us have all the answers, but together we have a lot of the answers! But when we wallow in self pity we exclude ourselves from being the solution. I'm simply saying that when you only think about you, then you only can help you and quite frankly, you are no help to yourself. When we are consumed with ourselves (which is self pity) then we can't see past ourselves and that is a short road to be on. I mean, if you are the end to yourself then that is a brief journey! We must step outside ourselves and see the hurting world around us!

It's at that point that you realize you have something to offer those around you! And you do! I don't care where you've been or what you've been through, you have something to offer the world around you. Whether you've lived a relatively sheltered life or one that's had many twists and turns, you have an answer for someone! You just have to stop talking yourself out of the the opportunity to change someone's life.

So let's think beyond ourselves and begin to notice the world around us who is in desperate need of answers! Just say to yourself, "I have someone's answer!" And you will be led to that person who needs it!

Hope this helps,

Barry
